Guidelines for Poster Presentations
The poster should meet the following criteria:
Size: The poster must be of size A0 (841mm x 1189mm). The orientation of your poster must be portrait. Bigger posters or posters in landscape format cannot be mounted. Please bring your poster printed, as it is not possible to print it locally.
Mounting your poster and display time
You can attach your poster to your poster board in the morning (9.00 am) of the day on which your poster session will take place in order to enable the conference participants to view the posters at any time on the display day.
All posters need to be taken down by the author after the poster session ends in the evening (latest at 6:30 pm). Authors are then asked to take down their posters between 6:30 PM and 7:30.PM After this time, the remaining posters will be removed off by the conference staff and they will not be stored.
Please be sure to be available near your poster during the time of your poster session. At least one author for each poster must be present at the session in which the poster is displayed.
Title: The title should be the same as in the submitted abstract. Include the title of your presentation at the top of the poster. Characters should be a minimum of 48 point font size and bold.
Best Poster Award
Best poster award(s) will be given for outstanding work presented as a poster at the conference. Sperate award (s) will be given for each day.
Poster Format and Suggestions
Authors’ Names: Presenting author’s name shall be in bold and underlined and other co-authors’ names shall be separated with a comma and written in normal text. Corresponding author’s name shall be an asterisk (*) marked in superscript. The affiliation address number shall be mentioned in superscript after every author’s name.
Affiliation: Below the authors’ names, affiliation address(s) shall be mentioned along with the corresponding author’s email address in the next line.
The poster should be easily readable at a distance of five feet. Use sentence case for general content. Avoid using a mixture of type/font styles.
Headings: 48 point font size is recommended for headings.
Content: 24 to 32 font size single spaced is recommended.
The text should be concise and easy to read. The message that your poster contains should be clear and understandable. The poster should contain background/introduction, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion. Results should be presented graphically, if possible. Figure legends are essential.
